Dual Credit
Undergraduate Degree


Get a head start on college with a dual-credit certification.

The dual credit program, in associate with Navarro College, allows high school students to take college classes during normal high school hours and receive both high school and college credit. These credit hours may be part of a greater certification, or can be used towards a degree at Navarro. Credit hours may also be transferred to some accredited colleges and universities.

Dual Credit Certification Requirements

An application for admission, official transcripts from high school and / or previous colleges, and TSI status is required. Students taking on campus classes who are 21 & under are required to have proof of vaccination against bacterial meningitis.


Dual Credit Certifications offered through Navarro College


Students seeking an accounting certification can expect to learn basic account skills and paraprofessional skills that may lead to future employment as an accounting assistant or payroll clerk.

Business Administration

The business administration focus covers a variety of business-related courses including marketing, finance, accounting, and management to offer students a competitive advantage in retail, community services, and small business.

Business Information Technology

By offering administrative skills in communications and technology, certifications in business information technology prepare students interested in careers related to medical transcription and financial clerking.

Child Development

Designed for the study of the overall development of a child, this program gives students practical knowledge in child care and in creating positive educational experiences for children.


Created to meet the education, experience, and requirement of state board exams, this program develops students skills for careers such as a cosmetologist or nail technician.

Criminal Justice

For students seeking a career in serving the community, the criminal justice program gives Police Officers 33 credits for their Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) training.

Multimedia Technology

Designed for those with interest in multimedia and technology skills, this program gives students the foundations for work with audio and visual development, as well as 3D animation and graphic design, preparing students to work as video editors or graphic designers. 

Paralegal Studies

For students with an interest in law, the paralegal studies certification may serve as a building block for a future career in the legal industry. Students can expect to learn skills such as conducting legal research and learning how to draft legal documents.

Associate Degrees offered through Navarro College

Associate in Science, AS

Designed to prepare students interested in transferring to a four-year college, this degree focuses on mathematics and sciences to prepare students for fields such as engineering and pre-med.

Associate in Arts, AA

A pathway for students wishing to transfer to a four-year university, this program prepares students with interest in business and the humanities for degrees in related fields.

Associate in Arts – Teaching, AAT

Our teaching program prepares students for the initial certification to become Texas teachers.

Associate in Applied Science, AAS

The applied science associate program is designed for students looking to find employment in the business, industry, or health professions.

Associate Requirements
